Using the View Selector in SolidWorks

by John Koop, SolidWorks Specialist, TEDCF Publishing

The View Selector was added in SolidWorks 2013. You can access it by clicking the down arrow of the View Orientation command and then selecting it from the menu. You can also use the shortcut keys Ctrl+SpaceBar to access the command.

When you select the option, a cube will show up in the graphics area surrounding your part.

Now you can select any side of the cube to see the view from that angle. This makes it much easier to navigate between views.

You can also improve your productivity with SolidWorks by watching our courses.
