TEDCF Ships Inventor 2014 Sheet Metal Training Course
Springville, CA, July 10, 2013 – TEDCF Publishing, an Autodesk Authorized Developer and producer of interactive, multimedia training courses, today announces the availability of Autodesk Inventor 2014: Sheet Metal Design.
Sheet Metal Design for Autodesk Inventor 2014 is the fourth course in a seven course series that will be released this year. It has over 9 hours of instruction covering all the sheet metal commands, standard and custom punches, the Frame Generator, standard and custom structural shapes, Weldments, and bend callouts on drawings. It also covers several methods of exporting DXF files for fabrication. The pros and cons of each method are spelled out so that users can easily determine which method is right for them.
The course also covers multi-body sheet metal modeling from conception through flat patterns of each component. All the components of an adjustable speaker bracket are developed and constructed in a single part file. They’re exported to an assembly file, and then all the sheet metal files are generated from the assembly. Each step of the way the benefits and best practices of the process are clearly described to assure that the user understands the important aspects of this process.
“Multi-body sheet metal modeling is the way to go.” said David Melvin, PE, author of the course. “You can’t beat the speed and accuracy of working with multiple bodies in a single part file. You can easily develop the form and function of each part. Export them to an assembly, and then convert the components to sheet metal parts.”
“When I read articles and forum threads that recommend you don’t develop sheet metal parts using the multi-body process, I can’t believe what I’m reading.” said Mr. Melvin. “After you master sheet metal styles you can create multi-body sheet metal assemblies without a flaw every time. Don’t let anyone tell you that multi-body sheet metal modeling is something to avoid. It’s simple. Just watch my course.”
The course is currently available as a direct download from TEDCF Publishing’s website or through the TEDCF Streaming Video Service. You can also pre-order the DVD, which course will ship August 1st.
The Lesson Player has several customizable features designed to meet user needs. Users can slow down or speed up the video playback rate, which allows the user to learn at their own pace. When the user closes the Lesson Player it will automatically open to the same place in the course, so bookmarking is automatic.
