TEDCF Launches Inventor 2013 Drafting Course
Springville, CA, May 23, 2012 – TEDCF Publishing, an Autodesk Authorized Publisher and member of the Autodesk Developer Network, today released Autodesk Inventor 2013 Certified: 2D Drafting and Customization, a video based training course for Autodesk Inventor 2013.
2D Drafting and Customization is the third course in a series of Inventor 2013 Certified courses scheduled for release this year. It covers all the commands associated with 2D drafting, the development of drawing templates and styles, and customization of the Inventor User Interface.
One of the most outstanding changes to this year’s version is customization of material and appearance libraries that are new to Inventor. Inventor 2013 now uses material and appearance libraries instead of material and color Styles. As one of the most predominant and helpful changes to Inventor, it also imposes a significant learning curve.
This course simplifies the use of both Material and Appearance Libraries. It shows you how to create custom libraries, how to create custom appearances, and how to create custom materials that use custom appearances. It also shows you how to migrate styles from older versions of Inventor to material and appearance libraries.
“Material and appearance libraries are great,” said John Koop, Software Engineer for TEDCF Publishing. “You just need to know how to use them. They give you more control over how parts and assemblies look in several different applications, and custom appearances can really make your parts stand out.”
The 2D Drafting and Customization course can be downloaded, and you can pre-order the upgradeable DVD. When all seven courses are complete the DVD will ship on July 31st. It will contain all seven courses so that the you can easily upgrade to a new course without having to purchase another DVD.
TEDCF Publishing has also enhanced their Lesson Player. Along with adjustable playback speed and a lesson search engine, users can now assign global hotkeys. This gives users the ability to pause and play lessons while working in the Inventor environment. Users can also use hotkeys to advance to the next lesson in the course and review previously watched lessons.
