Now it’s time to set the part Material. Click the Inventor logo and then select iProperties.

Now click the Physical Tab and set the Material to Steel. Once you have set the Material save the part under the name 100-0. You will see why this name is important in the next tip.

In this tip we started the process of designing an iPart. We set up the Custom Parameters, built the part, and set the Material. In the next tip we will continue the iPart process by setting up the iPart Table.
