This sketch shows the geometry used on three extrusions. First the rectangle is extruded .125 of an inch, and then the .375 DIA circle is extruded 1 inch. Next the .094 DIA circle cuts a hole through the part.

Sharing sketches consolidates sketch geometry so it’s easier to edit. This also gives you the ability to see conflicts in your modifications all on a single sketch. If Inventor loses geometry during an update you only need to modifying one sketch.
