SolidWorks Tips & Tricks

Using the Trim Command in SolidWorks 2013

by John Koop, TEDCF Publishing

Now click and drag across the portion of the line or curve you want to remove. As you do, a trail will follow your cursor and the entity will be trimmed to the next intersection of curves.  Also notice that a red node appears in the trail.

When you're finished, release your left mouse button.

If you accidentally trim a line you didn't want trimmed, drag back over the node and the line will reappear.

If you have already released your left mouse button, just click the Undo command.
