SolidWorks Tips & Tricks

Creating Custom Views in SolidWorks 2013

by John Koop, TEDCF Publishing

From this window, you can choose between the preset views or make your own view.  Select the New View command.

When you do, the Named View dialog box appears.  I'm going to name the view, Custom View-1.

Now if you type the Spacebar again, you can see that Custom View-1 is listed.  If you click the disc icon, you can save the view to SolidWorks so you can use it in other files.

It will also be listed in the View Palette when you make a drawing of the part.

You can also improve your productivity with SolidWorks by watching our courses.
